They are seeking 2 candidates with an interest in their mission with one or more of the following skills:
- Management/Leadership Experience: Business management, ideally with a larger corporation or a corporation with ties to the northern suburbs
- Fundraising/development capabilities or connections to philanthropy
- Individuals connected to finance and accounting with interest to serve in a future capacity as treasurer
- General interest to serve in board leadership position during or after first 2-year term.
Number of members currently: Six
How many needed: Two
Meeting time and frequency: 1st Wednesday 5-7p.m. on even months
Meeting location: at agency office
Time Expectation: 3-4 hours per month
Financial Contribution: Yes, no dollar amount specified – in-kind also considered
Service on Committee Required: Involvement in one ad-hoc committee
Length of Term: 2 years
Renewable: Yes, no more than 4 consecutive terms
Election shall be held at the first full meeting after the first of each calendar year. The Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson shall be elected for a term of two years. Treasurer shall be elected for a term of one year.
