Teatro del Pueblo has been in existence since 1992. It has been very successful in showcasing Latino talent and culture as well as educating both Latinos and non-Latinos about cultural issues. Teatro del Pueblo is looking to expand its board. Specifically, the organization would like to recruit individuals with the time and energy available for this working board including retirees or people nearing retirement with links to major corporations. Teatro del Pueblo desires people with board experience. Legal and fundraising skills are needed.
Teatro del Pueblo is seeking two candidates with an interest in their mission, previous board experience, and strong community connections with the following qualities:
- Fundraising/Development skills
- Attorney: Legal background and experience
- Prior Board Experience
Number of members currently: Seven
How many needed: Two
Meeting time and frequency: Six to eight times per year plus committee meetings
Meeting location: At office/sometimes off site
Time Expectation: Eight to ten hours per month
Financial Contribution Required: Yes, at your ability level with a $100 recommendation
Service on Committee Required: Yes
Length of Term: Three years
