I love creative, intentionally designed systems and processes because I believe they can be the foundation of artful and community driven work. This is largely influenced by my artistic background in dance and theater, but also my experience working in arts nonprofits – specifically in the areas of development, event planning, volunteer management, board support, and programming. I have previously worked at The Loft Literary Center, Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival, and Northrop. I have also provided administrative support for and performed with multiple Twin Cities dance companies and artists. I am thrilled to bring my enthusiasm for creative problem solving, passion for intentional communication, and deep belief in the power of nonprofit work to Propel’s training team.
I have a B.A. in Dance and a B.I.S. with focuses in Political Science, Communications, and Gender, Women and Sexuality Studies from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities. When not at Propel, I am likely perfecting my sourdough bagel recipe, reading some Mary Oliver or Ross Gay, and hanging out with my partner, Matt, and our sweet cat, June.
