My passion for the nonprofit sector started early as my family volunteered together and taught me the importance of working toward justice. After studying psychology and anthropology at St. Olaf College, I managed programs in several Twin Cities education-based nonprofits, including Reading and Math, Inc. Each role further reinforced my commitment to mission-driven work. I feel fortunate to get to work each day with passionate people dedicated to doing good work for the community. My roles also taught me the importance of financial information to empower nonprofits to do good and do well at the same time. As a fervent learner, I jumped into nonprofit accounting where I quickly found a natural fit for my skills and interests. As Propel Nonprofits’ accountant, I get to combine all these pursuits.
Outside of work you will find me hiking the area’s parks with my beloved basset hound, trying new recipes to nourish my family and friends, or reading fiction.
