Trainings

Canceled: Fundamentals of Nonprofit Finance

Workshop

  • March 18, 2020
  • 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Update: To help mitigate the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus) and to protect the health of our staff, clients, and greater community, we’re canceling this training on March 18. We’ll be offering this training on August 18, and we’re actively working to make our other in-person trainings available in a virtual capacity as needed. If you’ve already registered, know that we’ll be giving you the option to refund your order or transfer it to the August date.

Regarding future events and trainings, we’ll continue to monitor the spread of the virus and update our training calendar accordingly, but our plan is to make our workshops available as much as possible.

This training is designed to make you more comfortable with nonprofit finance. We’ll walk through nonprofit financial reports including the statement of activities (income statement) and statement of financial position (balance sheet). You will gain an understanding of nonprofit finance terminology, accounting rules, roles and responsibilities, and procedures and policies. This workshop is right for you if you are new to the nonprofit sector, nonprofit finance, or your position as staff or board member.
