What makes a successful fundraising campaign? GiveMN is asked that question often, and they see successful fundraising campaign strategies as varied in nature as the thousands of nonprofits across our state.

Join GiveMN’s Jake Blumberg, Executive Director, and Andrea Kopfmann, Director of Campaigns and Partnerships, as they outline the five major areas your organization can focus on as you plan a fundraising campaign that is authentic to your mission, engaging to your supporters, and makes use of your organization’s unique strengths. During the session they will explore the following topics:

Developing your story
Drive your biggest supporters to donate with a powerful story and a clear call-to-action.

Setting your goals
A fundraising campaign is stronger with a clear and attainable goal aligned with your mission pursuit.

Engaging your board
Your board is comprised of some of your most engaging volunteers and with a variety of skillsets to help increase your campaign’s success.

Planning your communication
Create a plan to get your message in front of your supporters via email, social media, word-of-mouth, and more.

Keeping your donors engaged
Fundraising campaigns serve as an attention-grabbing touchpoint to keep your supporters engaged with your organization through the end-of-year period and beyond.

The session is free and will take place from 8:30 am to noon on Thursday, September 20, 2018, at Timberlake Lodge in Grand Rapids. Networking and ample time for discussion are built into every session. You will have the opportunity to apply what you have learned to test out the tools and resources at your organization.
